Lorna Patten

Lorna Patten is the founding Director of Open Up Communication and its principal coach and facilitator.

Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lorna made Australia her home in 1966.

Lorna’s professional background includes over 30 years management experience in business including retail, finance, advertising, marketing and training, in both corporate and small business markets. For 15 years Lorna managed and ran her own counselling, corporate coaching and training business.

Through the study of psychology, philosophy and history - with a particular emphasis on understanding the nature of human beings, Lorna has been intensively and formally trained by some extraordinary teachers in various techniques, modalities and therapies including holistic counselling, communication skills and group dynamics, metaphysics and NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming).

In 1999, in order to take her profoundly exciting personal development work to a wider audience, Lorna created Open Up Communication, a national organisation which offers a powerful and effective personal development process for people and businesses that desire to change, grow and reach their full potential.

Recognised, accepted and respected as an expert in helping people create fundamental shifts in relationships, you will find Lorna passionate, dynamic and warm. She rigorously questions the way things are, and challenges you to think differently about what’s really going on.
