Lorna Patten
Founder of Open Up Communication Lorna was born in Las Vegas, Nevada before making Australia her home in 1966.
With more than 25 years’ experience in business, including retail, finance, advertising, marketing and training, Lorna has experienced both the corporate and small business markets. For 15 years she managed and ran her own counselling and training business, gaining insight into the things that support sustainable and positive change in people and in business.
Passionate, dynamic and warm, Lorna is fired by a desire to develop and grow and share with others. Drawing on intensive formal training and extensive personal experience, she has created a process that helps others open up and grow.
Pete Sheldon
Pete is based in Sydney, and has been a partner in Open Up Communication since 2000.
An empathetic listener, he has 22 years’ experience as an educator, manager, change facilitator, counsellor, mentor and coach to people at all levels of business, and across a wide range of industries. He has great breadth and depth of understanding, and his acute insight means he quickly gets to the core of issues influencing his clients’ personal and professional lives.
Gentle and tenacious with a dry sense of humour, he is committed to helping clients achieve measurable results.

Nick Aldridge
A partner since 2000, Nick Aldridge was born in London and now lives on the north coast of New South Wales.
He spent 15 years in the legal profession, running his own successful practice in NSW and Queensland. Coupled with ongoing personal development, this solid understanding of the dynamics and practicalities of the business environment has given Nick a keen insight into the nature of human relationships.
Compassionate, relaxed and open-hearted , Nick is most fulfilled when helping groups of people fulfil their potential – either with Open Up, or through one of his many community initiatives.
